Universal Studios Parking Fees in 2024. – What You Need to Know

Yep, we’ve all been there, excited to hit up the road and visit Universal Studios, but first, you’ve got to deal with parking. And let me tell you, it’s not exactly cheap, but with a little heads-up, you can make it less of a headache.

Whether you’re going to Universal in Hollywood or Orlando, parking prices vary depending on how close you want to be to the action. There’s general parking (which is still a bit of a trek), preferred parking (closer but pricier), and then there’s valet (for those feeling fancy or just impatient).

I’ve learned that sometimes arriving a bit later in the day can get you discounted rates, or even timing your exit can make leaving a lot easier. So, if you’re like me and prefer to spend your money on Butterbeer instead of parking, keep reading: I’ve got some tips that could help you.

General Parking

Parking is good mix of accessibility and cost

For most folks, General Parking is the best bet. It’s conveniently located and offers a good mix of accessibility and cost. The general parking spots are clearly marked and easy to find, making it a stress-free option for families and groups.

There’s usually plenty of space any time of the day. But if it’s peak season or a special event, it’s smart to get there early to snag a spot.

  • Before 5 pm: $35
  • After 5 pm: $10

*Note: General parking is first-come, first-served, and the prices might change, so keep that in mind. If you’re coming late afternoon, the after 5 pm rate is a nice way to save some cash and still have a good time at the park.

Preferred Parking

Preferred Parking gets you right near the park entrance, it’s perfect if you don’t want to walk too far, which is especially handy for families with kids or anyone who’d rather not trek across a big lot. Less walking means more time enjoying the attractions!

Just like with General Parking, spots can fill up, so plan ahead and consider arriving early, especially during busy times.

  • Before 5 pm: $50
  • After 5 pm: $20

Front Gate

Front Gate parking is located next to entrance

Front Gate Parking gets you right to the entrance, making it the fastest way into the park. It’s especially handy if you’re short on time or have a packed schedule. It’s the most expensive option, but I think it’s absolutely worth it, in fact, I choose it most of the time.

Furthermore, it’s also super helpful if you have kids or mobility issues, since it cuts down on the hassle of getting to and from your car.

Cost: $70 all-day
