For more than 25 years, First Orlando Counseling Center has been meeting the needs of families and marriages through Christian counseling and education services. The center offers a number of specialities, including problem and crisis resolution, self-esteem issues, trauma recovery, biofeedback, anger management, depression, divorce recovery, anxiety, relational issues, communication skills training, job coaching and grief counseling. Marriage and family counseling is available to promote problem resolution and enhance greater harmony and more understanding in the home. Parenting skills and support counseling is available to equip parents to successfully handle difficult situations. Women’s issues counseling is available for co-dependency, boundaries and assertiveness training, as well as aiding in the recovery from sexual abuse. Children and adolescent counseling and evaluation is available for loss issues, divorce recovery, behavioral problems, attention-deficit disorder, attentiondeficit hyperactivity disorder, and life and social skills. In addition, the center provides educational and learning assessments for children and teens. The staff can evaluate for dementia to help in the care of aging patients.
