Nnamdi Nwaogwugwu, M.D., is a board-certified physiatrist with a pain management practice in MetroWest. Anand Patel, M.D., the newest addition to the Center for Pain Medicine, received his medical degree from the University of Florida College of Medicine and completed his residency in anesthesiology at New York-Presbyterian Hospital, the university hospital for Cornell University. He also completed a fellowship in pain medicine at CU. In addition to his established downtown practice, Dr. Patel joined the center’s Celebration location. He is a diplomate of The American Board of Anesthesiology, with subspecialty certification in pain management. Serge Pierre-Louis, M.D. |
After obtaining his medical degree from New York Medical College Fifth Pathway Program, Serge Pierre-Louis, M.D., completed an internship in internal medicine at The Brooklyn Hospital Center in 1997. He completed his residency training program in physical medicine and rehabilitation at The State University of New York, Downstate Medical Center in 2001. He worked at Woodhull Medical Center of New York City Health and Hospital Corp. and St. John Episcopal Hospital in New York. He worked for the Bay Pines Veterans Affairs Hospital Healthcare System for more than two years as a staff physiatrist treating returning veterans. He then opened his own practice in the Dr. Phillips area. Dr. Pierre-Louis is a physical medicine and rehabilitation specialist, also known as a physiatrist. He practices nonsurgical musculoskeletal medicine, pain management and electromyography nerve conduction studies, and is Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration-certified for the buprenorphine office-based treatment program for opiate prescription drug dependence. He is fluent in English and Spanish.

He graduated from the University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine in 1993 and completed an anesthesiology residency at Tulane Medical Center in New Orleans and pain-management fellowship at The State University of New York at Brooklyn, Kings County Hospital.
