These newer techniques allow patients to recover faster and can be performed under local anesthesia, rather than in an operating room under general anesthesia, which allows patients to recover faster.

Health Central Park Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is a 228-bed, short- and long-term care, skilled nursing facility located in Winter Garden. An American Health Care Association Quality Award recipient, the Park provides its residents and their families with a broad spectrum of professional, compassionate care. The Rehabilitation Center at Health Central Park, staffed with licensed physical therapists, occupational therapists and speech language pathologists, offers both inpatient and outpatient therapy services.

ExpressCare is Health Central’s walk-in treatment center designed to provide exceptional health care with a convenient approach. The board-certified physicians and experienced staff make every effort to ensure that each patient’s visit is as comfortable as possible. Physicians treat ailments ranging from colds and sprains to simple cuts and burns, while offering flu shots, with no appointment necessary.

Daysi Merino, owner of Merino Adult Family Care Home, began caring for the elderly more than 10 years ago in New York City, where she based her business on caring for residents of Creedmoor Psychiatric Center. In 2003, former New York Gov. George Pataki honored her home, saying the important services provided by Merino Adult Family Care Home make a difference in the lives of others. In 2006, Merino brought her knowledge and experience to the Windermere area. Merino Adult Family Care Home provides a family-type living arrangement in a private-home setting for up to five residents in private or semiprivate rooms, as well as short- and long-term respite.
