The Leadbetter Junior Development Camp gives junior golfers ages 11-18 the ultimate golf camp experience. Each four-day camp includes physical training, lunch and the same instruction provided to such golf professionals as Michelle Wie, Ernie Els and Trevor Immelman. Camps conclude with a nine-hole challenge. Sessions are available June-August.

West Orange Country Club has expanded its summer golf camps to three weeks this year. Scott Yates, director of golf, and his staff have created a program that focuses on etiquette, fundamentals and on-course play. Camps are June 11-15, July 16-20 and Aug. 6-10, and run from 8:30 a.m.-noon, Monday-Friday, with swimming after golf optional.

Windermere Country Club junior golfers learn tools to enjoy a lifetime of golf while promoting team spirit and friendship.

Windermere Country Club provides junior golfers with the tools to enjoy the great game of golf for a lifetime. Five-day summer camp for juniors ages 8-17 are June 11-July 27; special junior sessions for ages 5-7 are Aug. 6-10. Instruction includes putting, short game, full-swing instruction, rules, etiquette and course management. A tournament with awards takes place at the end of each week. The cost is $240 per session; $215 for WCC members. Lunch is provided.

iBRICK ACADEMY LEGO ROBOCAMP, 407-230-6100, www.ibrickacademy.com, uses Lego Education sets, combining simple machines, mechanical engineering, energy and robotics to create a fun learning experience. Working in pairs, “cadets” learn robotics using hands-on projects and guided curriculum. Each cadet receives a T-shirt and Lego set. Camps are coordinated and supervised by James C. Jones, a certified Lego Educational Academy teacher/trainer with more than a decade of experience. Camps are offered June 11-Aug. 3 in Kissimmee, Lake Mary, Orlando, Windermere, and LegoLand Florida in Winter Haven.

Children ages 7-16 learn traditional Irish step dancing, ceili dancing and Riverdance-style, as well as learn to speak Gaelic, and play the spoons and penny whistle. Students also participate in Irish-themed arts and crafts, and an end-of-week performance. Camp is held July 16-20. The cost is $190 and includes a T-shirt and lunch.

Brazillian Jiu Jitsu Youth Camp students learn positive character traits while achieving success through physical fitness.

Camp Wewa is dedicated to teaching children values, skills and responsibility in a safe environment. Wewa offers resident (sleep-away) camps, teen leadership camps, Florida trip camps, and other speciality day camps. Wewa has air-conditioned cabins; water-skiing and watersports; a six-lane swimming pool with a slide; low- and high-ropes courses; a 40-foot climbing wall; athletic fields; and a large, air-conditioned dining hall.

First Baptist Church Windermere offers sports camps for children in kindergarten-sixth grade.

Available camps include all-sports camp, flag football, cheerleading, basketball, soccer and girls volleyball. Camps are offered at the downtown and Lakeside campuses.
