British actress Natalia Denny is the owner and instructor of NL Acting Studio, which offers private classes, including instruction in life skills, confidence development and public speaking; on-camera auditioning techniques; cold reads; advanced auditioning for film, TV and commercials; and method-training scene study. Complimentary group workshops are offered monthly with entertainment industry guest speakers. Classes are held Monday-Friday.

ACTING, MUSICAL THEATER & PRODUCTION CAMPS presented by In the Limelight at its new performing arts studio and theater, 5555 S. Aspiring stars learn production, acting, art and musical theater skills from June 11-Aug. 17. Production camps include Disney’s Sleeping Beauty Kids, Guys and Dolls, Into the Woods and Fame. Auditions are April 14. Other offerings include pop sensations musical theater, as well as themed acting camps, including Pixie Hollow, Harry Potter and more. Extended care is offered. Costs range from $175-$425.

L.A. Acting Summer Performing Arts Camp 2012 offers six performance camps for children ages 5-15 that include acting, singing and dancing.

Six theatrical and musical weekly performance camps in acting, singing and dancing are offered to children ages 5-15. Titles include Shrek Forever After, Mary Poppins, Matilda, Annie, Glee and Harry Potter. There is a final performance each Friday. The cost is $150 per session, and campers are encouraged to sign up for multiple camps. Space is limited.

Orlando Repertory Theatre Youth Academy camps foster self-confidence, creative thinking, problem solving and more.

The Rep Youth Academy’s theater camps and productions are designed to foster self-confidence, creative thinking, problem-solving skills, collaboration, trust and discipline through the medium of performing arts. Stagekidz campers discover the power of imagination at Sleuths Mystery Dinner Shows.

Stagekidz summer camps at Sleuths Mystery Theatre include one- and two-week theater camps for students in kindergarten through high school. Each camp presents a public performance onstage at Sleuths. With more than 60 years of combined experience, including film, national TV and live theater appearances, teachers and directors have instructed students in all aspects of theater since 2003. Emphasis is on ensemble performance, where every student is the star.

Big Fish Swim School helps children and adults learn stroke skills in a variety of private and group settings.

Whether in the privacy of one’s own pool or a group setting, Big Fish has a stroke program that is fun, innovative and focused, while still accomplishing results at an accelerated pace. The state-of-the-art facility offers year-round swim programs for all ages, and staff members are devoted to enriching their students’ lives by instilling independence and self-confidence through swimming. Basic training teaches children as young as 6 months the essential skills of swimming. The SouthWest Stars swim team offers a variety of swim programs to accommodate age, skill level and commitment.

Instruction in ballet, jazz, musical theater and more is offered at Orlando Ballet School’s summer dance programs.

Summer camp programs run every week, and themes include “Space Station,” “Kids Cafe,” “Dinosaur Dig,” “Young Picassos,” “Back Pack Around the World,” “Mad Scientists,” “Jr. Park Rangers,” “All About the Olympic Games,” “Animal Kingdom” and “Young Astronomers.” Regular-hour camps cost $140-$190 per week. Extended-day camps cost $190-$230 per week. All campers are pretested for reading and math skills to allow for individualized learning curriculum.

Huntington Learning Center offers personalized academic programs.

All summer long, Huntington Learning Center offers personalized programs in reading comprehension, math, writing, spelling, phonics and SAT/ACT preparation. Open from 9 a.m.-8 p.m., Monday-Friday; and 9 a.m.-1 p.m. on Saturdays, campers pick the days and times they want to attend. Participants who call early save $100 on a skills assessment and consultation.

Camps at Jewel Court Stables offer equestrian lessons, trail rides, equine games and horsemanship classes.

EQUESTRIAN CAMPS at Jewel Court Stables, 17825 Terra Vista Court, Winter Garden, 407-654-8718, www.jewelcourt.com, are offered for boys and girls age 5-older, regardless of riding ability or experience. Children receive a one-hour group lesson, horsemanship classes, grooming, trail riding, swimming (no prior lessons required), arts and crafts, and lots of fun. Camp sessions are offered Monday-Friday, June-August from 9 a.m.-2 p.m., and the cost is $199 per child, per session. Extreme Camp, which includes outings and transportation, also is offered.
