After receiving a nomination from Rep. Daniel Webster, Dr. Phillips High School senior Jack Orchard was accepted to The Hill School in Pottstown, Penn., one of the country’s top college preparatory schools. The two-time All-American athlete will join the school’s elite water polo team. The following year, Orchard will attend the U.S. Naval Academy, where he will continue his water polo career. Upon graduation from the Naval Academy, he will serve the U.S. as a commissioned officer for at least five years, possibly as a rescue swimmer/instructor and, potentially, a Navy Seal. |

The Insurance Office of America 18th annual Corporate 5K will be held April 12 at 7:15 p.m. in downtown Orlando’s Lake Eola Park. More than 15,000 runners and walkers from more than 700 companies are expected to participate. The cost is $24 through March 29 and $28 from March 30 through April 11. All proceeds benefit Track Shack Foundation, which provides health and fitness opportunities through funding for youth athletic programs.
