The boys collected 254 bags of food, totaling 1,778 pounds, that were donated to Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida. The Rotary Club of Dr. Phillips presented its fifth annual A Taste of Dr. Phillips fundraiser at the Dellagio on Sand Lake Road. The event featured food and drinks from 20 Restaurant Row eateries, and included live entertainment, raffle prizes, silent and live auctions, and more. About 750 people attended the event, which co-benefited Dr. P. Phillips Hospital, the Cynthia C. & William E. Perry Pavilion, Dr. Phillips High School, Southwest Library at Dr. Phillips, and Dr. P. Phillips YMCA Family Center. |

Gotha resident Ashley Spencer was the grand-prize winner of South Walton’s Find Your Perfect Beach Contest, which encouraged vacationers to post their favorite South Walton photos and memories online. A panel of judges narrowed the hundreds of entries to 15 finalists, and selected Ashley’s photo and creative poem as the top entry. Ashley received a grand-prize package that included a six-night, seven-day vacation valued at more than $15,000. |
