Brenda DeForrest, O.D., is a Florida board-certified optometric physician offering complete eye care, including optical and contact-lens fittings, Lasik evaluations, diabetic retinopathy evaluations and glaucoma treatment. She also provides no-puff glaucoma testing. Dr. DeForrest attended the University of Florida and New England College of Optometry, graduating with honors. She completed internships around the world, including Jerusalem; Boston; Albuquerque, N.M.; and Atlanta. She completed her residency, specializing in ocular disease and postoperative care, at the Magruder Eye Institute in 1990. Dr. DeForrest is a clinical examiner for the Florida State Board of Optometry and a volunteer for Prevent Blindness Florida and Grace Medical Home.

Keshini Parbhu, M.D., is a native of Tallahassee. She graduated summa cum laude from Duke University with a bachelor’s in biology. Dr. Parbhu attended medical school and completed her general surgery internship and ophthalmology residency at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tenn. She pursued two years of subspecialty training in ophthalmic plastic and reconstructive surgery at The University of Alabama at Birmingham under the auspices of the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery. She is a frequent contributor to academic journals and has presented research at a variety of meetings around the country. Dr. Parbhu serves as a volunteer faculty member and has an appointment with the University of Central Florida College of Medicine as an assistant professor of ophthalmology. She is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and is board-certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. She is also certified by ASOPRS, an elite and prestigious society of about 500 members.

Deepak Raja, M.D., is a native of Englewood. He attended Duke University for his undergraduate studies and received a degree in biomedical and electrical engineering. He attended the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, where he received his medical degree. He completed his internship at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami and his ophthalmology residency at Vanderbilt Eye Institute in Nashville, Tenn. He completed a cornea and anterior segment fellowship at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis before joining The University of Alabama at Birmingham as a clinical instructor for two years, where he helped teach residents. He was recently appointed as an assistant professor at the University of Central Florida College of Medicine. He is board-certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology, and is a member of the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, American Academy of Ophthalmology, and The Cornea Society.
