The Pub is coming to the Pointe
The Pub Orlando, a British-inspired restaurant and bar, will open at Pointe Orlando on International Drive in early 2012. The Pub Orlando will occupy almost 8,000 square feet and seat about 220 patrons. The menu will incorporate innovative pub cuisine, as well as more traditional foods and an extensive beverage selection. Guests can sample a wide variety of draught, cask-conditioned and handcrafted beers, with selections from England, Ireland, Scotland, Europe and the U.S. Also available will be single-malt scotches, bourbon, wine and cocktails. The pub will feature two Pour Your Own Beer Wall taps, where guests can draw their own draught, sample and pay by the ounce. The exterior will be modeled after classic corner pubs in London, and the interior will consist of furniture and accessories from Britain. The pub’s centerpiece is a handcrafted bar with optic pourers. Indoor seating and an outside patio will be available, and the pub will accommodate large groups and semiprivate events. It’s getting hotter in Winter Garden
Bikram Yoga Winter Garden, co-owned and -directed by Mohamed and Debora Fahmy, will open its doors Sept. 20 in Suite 110 at 15504 Stoneybrook West Parkway in Winter Garden. Mohamed and Debora have been practicing Bikram yoga for more than 10 years, and Debora has been a certified Bikram instructor since 2007. Bikram yoga classes consist of 26 postures done in 90 minutes in a heated room. The heat allows for deeper and safer stretching, and makes a great addition to a weight-loss program.
