Landsbrook Terrace residents clean a one-mile stretch of Conroy-Windermere Road. |
As part of an Earth Day project, residents of Landsbrook Terrace came together and cleaned a one-mile stretch of Conroy-Windermere Road in Orlando. Within two hours, the participating children and adults had collected more than 850 cigarette butts, swept up 30 pounds of broken glass, and filled six large bags with various types of garbage. Hector Ramos, manager of El Potro Mexican Restaurant in the Kirkman Oaks Shopping Center, was so impressed with the residents’ efforts that he treated everyone to lunch at the restaurant. |
