| Celebration Town Center will host the inaugural Sales Survivor: Treasure Hunt during its annual Survivor Weekend and Sidewalk Sale, from July 29 through July 31. During the all-new treasure hunt, participants use a “treasure map” to navigate through the town center and answer clues. One grand-prize winner will receive $500 in cash and prizes. The event also includes appearances by reality-TV stars from Survivor, Big Brother, The Amazing Race, The Bachelor and more. On Saturday, the visiting actors will be available for an autograph session on Market Street from 3:30-5:30p.m., and will appear at an after-party at Celebration Town Tavern at 10 p.m. The autograph session and party cost $15 and $25, respectively, with all proceeds benefiting Give Kids The World Village. Representatives from Dr. Phillips High School’s Visual & Performing Arts dance magnet program and Orlando Ballet cosponsored an attempt to break the Guinness World Record for ballet dancers en pointe at the Orange County Convention Center. The previous record was 230 dancers en pointe for one minute. The DPHS attempt drew 245 dancers from across the state to break the record. Proceeds from the event benefited the dance magnet. |
