Sabrina Sanchez, D.C., joined the team at Orlando Sports Chiropractic. She received a bachelor’s in molecular biology and microbiology from the University of Central Florida and Doctor of Chiropractic from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Port Orange. The MetroWest resident is licensed by the Florida Board of Chiropractic and is a member of the Florida Chiropractic Association and International Chiropractic Pediatric Association. |
| Jeff Culver graduated from Georgia Institute of Technology with a master’s in chemistry. He attended The First Academy and graduated from the University of Florida in 2009 with a bachelor’s in chemistry. His area of interest is biochemistry, with a focus on identifying inter-cellular signaling pathways. Jeff resides in Atlanta and will continue his work with The Lieberman Research Group at Georgia Tech through January. His proud parents, Don and Beryl Culver, are longtime residents of Silver Woods. |

Mark and Jan Amerman of Windermere announced the engagement of their daughter, Jennifer Lynn, to Ryan Simon, son of Shawn and Debbie Simon of Marietta, Ga. Jennifer is the owner and lead photographer of Fondly Forever Photography in Venice, Calif., a boutique wedding and portrait studio. Ryan is a documentary filmmaker, and he owns a commercial production company. A September 2011 wedding in Big Sur, Calif., is being planned. |

Members of Boy Scout Troop No. 225 in Windermere returned from a 10-day canoeing trip in Ely, Minn. The 24 Scouts and adults began their adventure at Giant’s Ridge resort, after which they traveled to the Charles L. Sommers National High Adventure Base located near the Canadian border. The boys were divided into three crews, with each crew traveling 86 to 100 miles along the border of the Superior National Forest. In addition to canoeing, the Scouts visited the International Wolf Center and Soudan Underground Mine State Park, as well as observed wildlife, waterfalls and prehistoric American Indian pictographs. |
